A Distinct Identity
The Dollhouse Project is a not-for-profit Organization with a 501(c)(3) status.
In 2019, Officer Timara Pflug launched The Dollhouse Project because she knew that her strength lied not only in the words she stood by, but most importantly through the actions of her initiatives. Our Organization realized that, by working together with the community, we could promote brighter futures with creativity in the girls through dollhouses. That is why we ultimately decided to launch The Dollhouse Project. Officer Pflug grew up in low-income neighborhoods and having a vision beyond where she came from is the same vision and spark she hopes to instill in the children of her community. The Dollhouse Project provides multiple services to ease the burden of jumping through hoops for quality living. Explore the site for more information.
Why Dollhouses?
Did you know that a child's environment has a significant impact on their cognitive development? There are numerous studies that shows, the benefit of playing with a dollhouse. It increases social skills, emotional intelligence, spatial awareness, INCREASES IMAGINATION, fine motor skills and more. These abilities can be sustained throughout adulthood. It is our hope that girls can develop their own environments to improve their cognitive development, thus improving their chances of success in the future.
